Cartoning Machine
The SJ 180 opens the prefolded carton, inserts product and closes the carton by tucking in the flaps. It is well suited to handle such items as tubes, bottles, vials, ampoules, droppers, inhalers, film rolls, bearings, soaps and many other products falling within the wide range of the machine either individually or in combination.
 Applications :
  • The product is fed into the pocket of the product conveyor by the respective infeed system. The carton is picked up from the stack in the magazine by suction, erected and lodged in the carton chain. The carton chain, product conveyor and push rods move simultaneously parallel to each other. The push rods insert the product along with the dropper/vial (if any) gradually and smoothly into the carton.
  • In case a leaflet also is to be inserted along with product/s the leaflet feeding device picks the leaflet from a magazine by suction and transfers it to a pincher which holds the leaflet.
  • The leaflet chain with pinchers fitted on it travel simultaneously with the above three chains between the carton chain and the product conveyor.
  • After the product/s is inserted into the carton, the carton is subsequently closed at the tuck-in station and is carried out by the outlet conveyor.

CHECK DEVICES & SAFETY FEATURES

  • If product/s are not present in the pocket of the product conveyor, the corresponding leaflet (if any) and subsequently the corresponding carton will not be erected. On the other hand, if the carton is not present, the product is by-passed and collected
 Options
  • Automatic infeed systems for infeed of different products including a leaflet feeding device for inserting prefolded leaflet along with the product.
  • Lengthening of the product conveyor can be lengthened to suit the customer's requirement.
  • Printing device to print on the flap of the carton with rubber stereos. If the carton is laminated, ink printing cannot be done & hence a debossing roller can be provided on the device which uses metal stereos to mark on the carton.
  • Gumming attachment for pilfer proof cartons.

CHANGEOVER

  • Product, leaflet and carton conveyors are centrally adjustable to suit width of the product.
  • The carton conveyor is centrally adjustable for the length of the carton.
  • The entire mechanism for the carton magazine is centrally adjustable to remain in line with the centre of the carton.

CARTON REQUIREMENTS
Carton should have a board thickness of between 260 to 350 gsm (depending on carton size) and must be prefolded to atleast 140 degrees. Carton to be made as per dimensions given by us.
