The
SJ COLWRAP collates cartons of any configuration, wraps
it with B.O.P.P. film, folds the film at the pack ends in
envelope type and seals them from three sides to form a multipack.
This machine can always be the last machine in a high speed
packaging line as the final output of this machine is a sturdy
multipack of good aesthetic value. This multipack can then
be loaded directly into shippers. This makes it the ideal
wrapping machine for people who believe in quality packaging
as well as aesthetic value of their product.

THE
COURSE OF ACTION
-
The
carton travels on the conveyor to the collator section
where the right number of cartons in a row are lifted
and stacked. The process is repeated again i.e. a same
number of cartons are lifted again and stacked to form
the bunch.
-
The
last row of cartons lifted forms the bottom of the bunch.
This process is repeated till the required configuration
of collation is formed (If the configuration of collation
is 10 x 5 then 10 cartons will be lifted and stacked
5 times to form the configuration).
-
This
is for our first type of collation & is usually
used for tube cartons. The cartons where length is less
whereas height and width comparatively more, the second
type of collation is used where the cartons are horizontally
collated instead of lifting them vertically.
-
The
formed bunch of cartons is then pushed to the wrapping
section by a pneumatic cylinder. Meanwhile the film
is unwound by means of driving grippers and carried
to the wrapping station. In the process, the film passes
through the comb of the static eliminator provided,
thereby eliminating the static charge formed in the
film. At the wrapping section the bunch is pushed along
with the B.O.P.P. film to the main heat-sealing station
where the film is sealed along the length of the bunch.
The bunch then passes through the folding sections where
the film on the sides of the bunch is gradually folded.
The bunch is then carried to the side sealing station
where both the sides of the bunch are heat-sealed and
subsequently carried out by the teflon conveyors.

ADVANTAGES
OVER OTHER FORMS OF PACKING
-
It
enables the use of superior quality, low cost
B.O.P.P. film which has enormous improved properties
of tensile strength, transparency and crackle
which makes it a much cheaper substitute for shrink
wrapped packs.
- Product
visibility lessens the possibility of handling damage
and petty pilfering.
- Product
is always on display thus aiding promotion without
lessening security.
- All
round protection from dirt and humidity.
- Light
weight. Easily disposed of when removed from pack.
OUTSTANDING
FEATURES
- Feed
is particularly adapted for the insertion of the
machine into a production line.
- Collating
is effected positively.
- Film
is fed precisely and consistently.
- Sealers
have variable temperature control with easy external
adjustment.
- The
wrapping is very tight.
CHECK
DEVICES & SAFETY FEATURES
- In
case of overload, machine stops.
- When
the machine stops, sealers automatically retract
to avoid product damage.
